Photo retouching

Design, Portfolio

Below is an example of the latest photo retouching I’ve done.

The before shot.

And here we are after.

Notice the overall brightness and warmth of the photo now along with skin tones and red eye reduction. Blemishes have been removed and stray hairs have been taken out. Lines and wrinkles have been softened.

Software: Photoshop CS3

Lighting is good but her skin has little texture. Her skin may be a little to “sterile”. Too much wrinkle removal makes people look “waxy”. The hair line on her left cheek has too smooth an edge, some stray hair is needed to be life-like imo. Great job on the eyes. Mouth looks good too. The piano in the background actually became an interesting part of the picture. Cool!

Looks great Toby! Another fabulous reason to own and master Photoshop :D

Hmmmm … i think saying the words “blemishes”, “lines” and “wrinkles” when talking about a pic of a woman is seriously dangerous business.

    nice work. ;)

WOW. I see the first guy’s points, but man alive, makes you feel much less bummed by the magazine covers these days! :) Great work, Tobe!
