I think a lot of us (myself included) use our circumstances as an excuse NOT to do something instead of all the reasons why we SHOULD do something.
Instead of saying, “I can’t make it to the gym because I’m too tired and worn out,” try saying, “Because I’m tired and worn out, I NEED to get to the gym so I can become stronger and better able to sustain these crazy circumstances I have.”
There’s a big difference there. Do you see it?
Turn “I can’t get a job because I don’t have experience,” into “I’m going to start my own business and earn as l learn.” Guess where I got my MBA from… the School of Hard Knocks. I went out on my own in my mid-20s and made some mistakes, but learned a lot of valuable lessons that I wouldn’t have otherwise learned. And I’d do it all over again if given the chance.
Stop being a victim of your circumstances by allowing things to happen to you. Get up, move forward, go out and happen to things! You really do have a lot more control of your circumstances than you think. Disagree? Let’s talk.
