About 2 or 3 times a week I get an email from Express that showcases current styles and upcoming sales. At the bottom of today’s email I noticed they were on Twitter.

After getting lost in the “suits” section, I Twittered a tinyurl showing everyone the kind of suits I’d wear to work if I had to wear them. I also announced that Express is now on Twitter with a link to their twitter page.

My initial tweet was this:

Seeing their following to followers ratio I didn’t expect to have them follow me. Then about 5 minutes later I get a notice in my inbox that @ExpressLisaG is now following me. Pretty cool, I thought. Then I clicked on their Twitter link and saw this:

@tobysturgill How do I love thee…let me count the ways! Thanks for the shout out!

How about that?! Welcome to the new era of business-to-customer relations.
